Conditions for Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) Registration

  • Online Filing: UAM must be filled out online on the Ministry of MSME’s official portal.
  • Eligible Enterprises: Only MSMEs with investment in plant and machinery within the limits of Section 7 of the MSMED Act are eligible.
  • Unit Establishment: Filing is allowed after the unit is established, regulatory approvals are obtained, and commercial operations have started.
  • Aadhaar Requirement: Proprietors, managing partners, or Karta (for HUFs) must provide Aadhaar numbers.
  • Entity PAN: Companies, LLPs, societies, cooperatives, or trusts must provide the organization’s PAN and the authorized signatory’s Aadhaar number.
  • OTP Verification: A one-time password (OTP) sent to the applicant’s Aadhaar-linked mobile number is required for verification.
  • Self-Certification: No additional documents need to be uploaded; applications are accepted on a self-certification basis.
  • Proof Verification: Authorities may request documentary proof of details provided in the UAM.
  • Acknowledgement: Upon successful submission, a Udyog Aadhaar Acknowledgment and unique Udyog Aadhaar Number (UAN) are emailed to the registered address.
