Conditions for Udhyam Registration

Online Filing:UAM must be filled out online on the Ministry of MSME's official portal.

Eligible Enterprises:Only MSMEs with investment in plant and machinery within the limits of Section 7 of the MSMED Act are eligible.

Unit Establishment:Filing is allowed after the unit is established, regulatory approvals are obtained, and commercial operations have started.

Aadhaar Requirement:Proprietors, managing partners, or Karta (for HUFs) must provide Aadhaar numbers.

Entity PAN:Companies, LLPs, societies, cooperatives, or trusts must provide the organization's PAN and the authorized signatory's Aadhaar number.

OTP Verification:A one-time password (OTP) sent to the applicant's Aadhaar-linked mobile number is required for verification.

Self-Certification:No additional documents need to be uploaded; applications are accepted on a self-certification basis.

Proof Verification:Authorities may request documentary proof of details provided in the UAM.

Acknowledgment:Upon successful submission, a Udyog Aadhaar Acknowledgment and unique Udyog Aadhaar Number (UAN) are emailed to the registered address.
