Maha Udyog Yojna

Maha Udyog Yojna is a Maharashtra government scheme to promote self-employment by helping set up micro and small enterprises. The scheme exclusively supports new manufacturing, service, and agro-based ventures by providing financial assistance through bank loans, with beneficiaries contributing just 5% to 10% of the project cost.

Benefits of Maha udyog Yojna

  • Beneficiary contribution is 10% for General category and 5% for Special categories (SC/ST, Women, Ex-Servicemen, Differently-abled).
  • Subsidy rates for General category: 15% (Urban) and 25% (Rural).
  • Subsidy rates for Special categories: 25% (Urban) and 35% (Rural).
  • The remaining project cost is funded by banks as term loan and working capital.
  • Maximum project cost: ₹50 lakhs for manufacturing enterprises.
  • Maximum project cost: ₹20 lakhs for service, agro-based, and transport ventures.
  • Supports inclusive entrepreneurship, encouraging women, SC/ST, differently-abled, and rural entrepreneurs.

Eligibility

  • Age of applicant: 18–45 years; relaxed by 5 years for Special categories (SC/ST, Women, Ex-servicemen, Differently-abled).
  • Occupation: Unemployed youth or youth willing to establish new ventures.
  • Annual Income: No criteria.
  • Gender: Male or Female.
  • Marital Status: No restrictions.
  • Educational Qualification:
  • Minimum 8th standard pass for projects above ₹10 lakh.
  • Minimum 8th standard pass for projects above ₹25 lakh.
